I just finished a "random stripes" scarf in which half of the scarf has horizontal "random" stripes, and the other half has vertical "random" stripes. I use the quotes because frankly, it is not entirely random! Having taken Statistics, I realize that to be entirely random, one must use a Random Number Table (many of which are available on the beloved internet). As a matter of fact, I nearly used one to determine the stripe length; however, I realized the concept of this "random stripes" scarf was for the not-so-random stripes to be aesthetically pleasing in their array. Therefore, I determined my own stripe lengths, rather than using the very practical but in this case not-applicable random number table.
I'll post pictures asap. This scarf was for a special friend of mine and is very hawt. (The scarf. Well, the friend, too.) :D
